Happy Birthday Fela Kuti!

Today October 15th is the birthday of the original black president Fela Kuti. People all over the world are celebrating his afrobeat sound and the amazing musical legacy he has left behide.

In Philly, the celebration is going down at the Candyland party which goes on at the Arts Garage with DJ lil'dave on the turntables. It's all party of the nation-wide FELABRATION.

Illvibe invades D.C.

It's always great to get down to Washington D.C. and party with our homies the Soul Controllers and LiL SoSo Productions. Tonight, djs Statik and lil'dave are down there to help celebrate the 18th Anniversary of the Soul Controllers crew. The two crews will be smashing it on the turntables and singer Joy Jones is coming through to kill it on the mic. It's gonna be a roadblock session!!!

This past Tuesday was the worldwide release of lil'dave's debut record, "Chips & Salsa" b/w "Cafe Cubana", on the Record Breakin' Music label. Both tracks are latin flavored party records that will rock any club or iPod. You can get the release on a limited edition vinyl 45 or as an mp3.
